The 2022 Kia Forte features a standard peppy 147-horsepower 2.0L engine and offers an even more potent 201-horsepower 1.6L turbocharged engine upgrade. With the optional Drive Mode Select (DMS) system onboard, you can tailor your drives more precisely by switching among Normal, Sport, and Comfort modes.
Furthermore, the Kia Forte can reach an EPA-estimated 31 city/41 highway MPG when properly equipped, so you can enjoy plenty of stop-free trips.1
All that power and efficiency gets harnessed by one of three transmissions. Choose from the following:
- Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) with Sportmatic®
- Available 6-speed manual transmission
- Available 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) with paddle shifters
If you spend significant time in your on-road companion either enjoying an adventure or getting to work every day, you want a comfortable cabin that feels spacious. We think the Kia Forte fulfills that role.
When you settle into the Kia Forte, you can truly find your sweet spot with the available 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat featuring power lumbar support. A standard woven cloth seat trim creates a softer, cozier cabin. In the GT-Line trim, sport seats with SynTex seating material and GT-exclusive stitching add an extra dash of style, too.
Optional amenities like heated and ventilated seating, dual-zone automatic temperature control, and a power sunroof can be found throughout this Kia vehicle.

- Lane Keeping Assist (LKA): Provides corrective steering, if necessary, to help you stay safely between the lines on the road until you intend to change lanes.

With available Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control-Curve (NSCC-C), you’ll be able to enjoy your daily drives even more. This system uses directional and navigation data to sense curves in the road and will help the Kia reduce speed—then returns the model to your standard settings.
