Kia Forte: Performance

Whether you’re driving to the coast for a beach day or sticking close to home, the engine beneath the hood is what keeps your ride going. So, what kind of performance does the Kia Forte provide?

On the LX, LXS, and GT-Line trim levels, you’ll find a standard 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. This engine is paired with the Intelligent Variable Transmission. This combination has an output of 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque.

While the standard trim has plenty of power to spare, some drivers may want to upgrade to the GT or GT Manual trims.

Both models come with a 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. On the GT trim, this engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch auto transmission, while the GT Manual trim comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. These two trims will kick your horsepower up to 201 and you'll have 195 lb-ft of torque.

High-Tech Interior

In addition to the powerful performance offered by the Kia Forte, you’ll also find high-tech features inside the Forte. Once again, you’ll see a few differences between the trim levels. For instance, the LX and LXS trims come with:

• 4.2-inch Instrument Display
• 8-inch Touchscreen Display
• 4 Speakers
• Android Auto™
• Apple CarPlay®

The other trims share most of those features as well, with the exception of the speakers and the touchscreen display. When you upgrade to the GT-Line or GT trim, you’ll have six speakers and the ability to opt for the Harmon Kardon® Premium Audio with eight speakers. The GT Manual trim comes standard with the Premium Audio system.

As for your display, the GT-Line, GT, and GT Manual trims share a 10.25-inch display with Navigation. This will make your commutes easier than ever.
