If you're ready to buy or lease a midsize sedan that can do it all, stop into our Deland FL dealership this week to check out our selection selection of these fantastic vehicles!

To get you up to speed on all the Optima has to offer, we'll go over the performance specs, technology, and safety amenities. If you're a shopper with a larger budget, you'll also be interested in some of the more premium features you can find on the top trims.

Ready? Let's get started!

Performance

The Optima lineup is comprised of four trims (LX, S, EX, and SX) and there are three engines options, depending on which trim you choose. Under the hood of the LX and S is a 2.4L engine with 185 horsepower and a six-speed Sportmatic® transmission. The EX has a 1.6L turbo engine and 7-speed Sportmatic® transmission. The horsepower ratings do drop to 178, but the benefit of this trim is that it has the strongest EPA fuel ratings.

The most powerful engine is on the SX trim, and it's a 2.0L turbo with 245 horsepower and the 6-speed Sportmatic® transmission! Choose this engine if you want to show-off around downtown Daytona Beach!

Technology

Technology is something a lot of driver's desire, and the Optima doesn't disappoint. You'll like that all the trims have an 8-inch touchscreen that also comes with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.

Power-seating is standard on most of the Optima's trims, so if you spend a lot of time commuting between Orland and Ocala, you'll appreciate being able to dial in the perfect seating position for your long trip.

You can also get navigation to ensure you don't get lost along the way, and if you want to blast the music there's an available premium system from the fine folks at Harman Kardon.

Safety

You'll be impressed by the Optima's advanced safety features, most of which are standard. Along with a backup camera and Bluetooth for safer hands-free calling, all Optima's get the following technologies:

  • Blind spot collision warning
  • Lane change assist
  • Rear cross traffic collision warning
  • Lane departure warning
  • Lane keeping assist
  • Forward collision warning
  • Forward collision avoidance assist
  • Driver attention warning
  • Parking distance warning (reverse)

Having all these features standard really helps the Optima stand out in the field, as many of its competitors do not get this wide array of technologies until they hit the top trim levels or add on an expensive package.

As you move up the trims, not much changes, though you can find pedestrian detection paired with the forward collision avoidance assist and smart cruise control with stop/go technology.

Premium Features

As you can see, you get a lot with even a base model Optima...but if you have the funds to add on more flashy features, we say go with it! Comfortable and refined leather-seating starts on the EX trim. With the help of a package, you can also add on ventilation, which is something we Floridians can appreciate.

On the top trim you get sport leather-trimmed seats, a standard panoramic glass sunroof, and the 12-way power-adjustable seats for the driver and 10-way power seats for the passenger. If you want more technology, we suggest adding on the surround view monitor that gives you a bird's eye view for easy parallel parking. Want more luxury? Opt for the beautiful nappa leather seat package!

To see how great the Kia Optima is, stop into our dealership this week for a test drive. We carry all trims and are confident that you'll find one you cannot wait to take home.
