I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this Kia dealership.
On June 13, I traded in my vehicle, which had an outstanding loan balance of approximately $2,000. Under Florida law, a dealership is expected to satisfy the payoff on a traded-in vehicle within 10 business days. Despite that, weeks have passed, and my lender is still contacting me because the loan has not been paid off.
I have made every reasonable effort to get this resolved. I have visited the dealership multiple times, called numerous times, left voicemail messages, and even reached out through the dealership’s online chat. Not once has anyone returned my calls or provided me with an update regarding the payoff.
The dealership has possession of my vehicle and my keys, yet I am still being held responsible for the remaining loan balance. From my perspective, this is completely unacceptable and has caused unnecessary stress and potential harm to my credit.
If there was a delay, all it would have taken was a simple phone call or update. Instead, I have been ignored while continuing to deal with collection efforts from my lender over a vehicle that is no longer in my possession.
I strongly urge anyone considering doing business with this dealership to proceed with caution. My experience has been marked by poor communication, a lack of accountability, and a failure to resolve an issue that should have been addressed weeks ago.
Update ***
I wanted to update my previous review because I believe it's important to recognize when a business makes a genuine effort to address a customer's concerns.
After reading my review, the manager, Nick, personally reached out to me. He even took the time to communicate with me on his day off and invited me to come in and have a conversation with him. From the beginning, he listened to my concerns, took ownership of the situation, and treated me with professionalism and respect.
While my initial experience was disappointing, I truly appreciate the effort Nick made to make things right. Accountability and communication go a long way, and that's exactly what he demonstrated. I understand that mistakes can happen, but what matters most is how they're handled afterward.
Thank you, Nick, for taking the time to listen and for working to correct the situation. Your commitment to customer service made a positive difference, and I appreciate your efforts.
